Frequently Asked Questions
- Where do Clusty’s search results come from?
Clusty is a metasearch engine: it queries multiple search engines and combines the results to be displayed and clustered on one screen.
- What search engines does Clusty include in its metasearch?
Clusty retrieves results from Ask, Open Directory, Gigablast and others. To see which search engines returned results for your query, click on the “Details” link at the top of the search results list.
- Can I submit a URL to be included in Clusty’s search index?
Since Clusty is a metasearch engine, we actually get our results from other search engines. To appear in Clusty's results, your site just needs to be indexed by one of the search engines we query. Learn more in the Add Your Site section.
- Can we advertise or promote our site on Clusty?
The "Sponsored Results" that appear at the top of your web search at Clusty are provided by Ask. Currently, this is the only advertising offered on our site. For more information, please visit Ask.
