Site Search
Use Clusty to search your website! The forms below can be added to your site's HTML, to provide a web form from your page to cluster the web with Clusty. You can limit searches to a specific tab, the sources you like best, or even just results from your own website.
Search Forms
You can use the following HTML and images freely to create links to Clusty on your webpage, or even to use Clusty to search your webpage (assuming it has been crawled by one of our sources).
Clusty search with all tabs
Clusty search of your site or the web
Use the following form to search either your site or the web with Clusty. You just need to replace "yoursite.com" with your actual domain (in the label and the "host" radio button value):
Clusty search of only your site
Use the following form to search your own website with Clusty (replace "yoursite.com" with your actual domain):
Non-Profits, Schools, Community Colleges, & Universities
Put a search form on your website that will create a Clusty tab just for you, that searches just your site.
- URL Requirements: The URL of your site must match one of these two conditions:
- The domain must end in .org, .edu, or .net
- The domain must end in .us and include the subdomain k12, cc or lib
- Tab Name: The default name of the tab is taken from the "host" input in the HTML below. For .org, .edu, and .net sites, the Second-Level Domain is used. For example, Warhol.org becomes Warhol. For public elementary or high schools or community colleges, the Fourth-Level Domain is used. For example, in NewTrier.k12.il.us, ccsf.cc.ca.us and Reading.lib.pa.us, the names become NewTrier, CCSF and Reading Library. For private schools that follow the same K12 naming convention, the Fifth-Level Domain is used. For example, in cchs.pvt.k12.pa.us the name CCHS is used.
- Capitalization: By default, your tab's name will appear in all capital letters, but if you enter your "host" input in mixed case (some upper case and some lower case), your case selections will be preserved in the tab name. For example, to get a tab named NewTrier, enter the “host” input like this: NewTrier.k12.il.us.
- Name The Tab Yourself (recommended): To use your own preferred tab name, just add the label parameter to your HTTP Request or input form (you can use the + symbol to represent spaces such as label=New+Trier). Names of up to 25 characters, including spaces or hyphens, are allowed. Longer names will be ignored and the tab name will revert to the default naming convention.
- Other Websites: .com, .gov, .uk and other website suffixes that are outside the scope of this program can still offer site search using Clusty, but will not get their own tab.
